New work requires a new approach and new materials can often send one on a new journey of discovery. I didn’t set out with any preconceived ideas or designs but allowed the clay to ‘speak back’ to me. Without deliberation or intent I began to recall from memory, journeys into forests and beyond. The simple wonder of trees and their ability to regenerate themselves, that is what inspires me.
